Half Day Private Tour: Ancestral Volcanic Huts
In this tour you will learn the history of the explorers who had the mission to find Rapa Nui from the mythical island of Hiva and how thanks to them began this beautiful story called Rapa Nui. They are represented in the Ahu Akivi. In addition, our experienced guide will take you through the caves where they used to live in community. You will be surrounded by mystery and adventure. You will visit the place where the pukao was made, which represents the hair of the moais and was made in another part of the island with a different rock.

Exclusions
- Entrance fee to the national park. This is $80 per person and gives access to all of Rapanui.

- Babies should not sit on the lap.
- We will pick you up 15 minutes before the tour start time. The guide will carry an identification card so that we can easily recognize each other at the pick-up point.
What do I need to bring?
For the tour through the caves it is recommended to bring:- Comfortable and resistant shoes.
- Flashlight or headlamp if you have one (for dark cave interiors)
- Lightweight and breathable clothing.
- Sun protection (sunscreen, hat, sunglasses)
- Water and a small snack.
- A jacket or windbreaker (for colder temperatures in the cave).
- Camera or phone for photos.

- We will charge a 0% cancellation fee if you cancel your reservation 1000 days or more before the start of the event.

Ahu Akivi: The Sailors
Visit the Ahu Akivi, composed of seven moai that:
- They face the Pacific Ocean, representing the seven explorers sent by King Hotu Matu’a before his colonizing voyage.
- They were built between 1442 and 1600 and restored between 1960 and 1961.
- They are aligned with the points where the sun rises in autumn and spring, helping the island’s farmers prepare for their crops.
The ahu is 90 meters long, with a central platform of 38 meters.
Ana Te Pahu: The Largest Cave on the Island
Explore Ana Te Pahu, the largest cave on Easter Island, with more than 7 kilometers long. This tour is ideal to enjoy the natural wonders of the island.
These tubular lava caves once served as a vital shelter and cultivation site for the ancient Rapa Nui people.
Puna Pau: The Pukao Quarry
Discover Puna Pau, a small extinct volcano where the distinctive pukao, the red headdresses that crowned the moai statues, were extracted and carved. This place offers:
