Location
Rapa Nui, also known as Easter Island, is a unique tourist destination in the world. This island is located in the Pacific Ocean, about 3,700 km off the coast of Chile, and its origin is still an unsolved mystery.

Attractions
One of the main attractions are the Moai, stone statues carved by the ancient Rapa Nui over a thousand years ago. They have an average height of 4 meters and are made of volcanic tuff. It is believed that they were created to honor the ancestors of the tribe.

Language
The island’s language, which is spoken by the local inhabitants, is one of the island’s unsolved mysteries. It is thought to have been brought by the first inhabitants of Polynesia, but it is not yet known for sure.

Fauna
The fauna of Easter Island is very varied and exotic. In the sea you can find turtles, sharks, whales and dolphins. On land, the long-tailed lizard is a reptile endemic to the island and birds, such as the Dominican Gull, are a spectacle for visitors.

What should you know when visiting rapa nui?
Tourist information

As a tourist, you can only stay in Sernatur-accredited lodging, so we recommend that you check availability at Hotel Hare Nua.
Be sure to bring a printed or online copy of your reservation document to present at the time of boarding.
If you do not have accommodation on the island, you will need a letter of invitation written by a resident or person belonging to the Rapa Nui people, which must be processed by the Rapa Nui Provincial Presidential Delegation.
*The stay cannot last more than 30 days.
*Fill outthe Single Entry Form ( FUI). A printed copy of the POI must be presented at the time of shipment.
